IF you are
traveling to Jamaica for the first time, you will want to explore
and discover the island's array of natural land and sea wonders.
It is always best to be prepared for the unexpected and pack accordingly.
Here are a few suggestions that may help you enjoy your stay in
paradise.
Check List.
Ensure that you take the necessary documents such as, passport,
credit cards, drivers license, airline ticket and any other important
documents that is considered as a must have for you. It is also
best if you take photocopies instead. Do not travel with a lot
of valuable Jewelry and be sure to carry a lot of small notes/bills.
Use the banks, hotels or cambios for currency exchange.
Cameras
and Film.
Specific types of films may be hard to find or expensive. Ensure
you bring plenty of film and batteries for your camera.
Water Sports.
You have the option of taking your own equipments to do activities
such as fishing, diving or snorkeling, wetsuit, fins and mask.
Leave the weights at home, they can be rented.
Protecting
your eyes and feet.
Your eyes may need protection from the sun on those bright sunny
days, therefore, sunglasses is a necessity, especially on the
beach. Take your own brand of contact lens solution.
Your Skin.
It is a must have. Ensure you protect your skin form the sun's
ultraviolet rays. Also, by now you probable know that Jamaica
is tropical and bugs lives in the tropics. So take along insect
repellent.
